Jesus’ Promise
John knew the heart of our Savior, Jesus. He echoed the heart Jesus’ promises: “And whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him” (1 John 3.22).
Suggested Prayer
I pray for my actual needs to be met by the right supply, in the right way and at the right time.
Personal Reflection
You will notice that so far all of the suggested prayers follow Jesus’ teaching in the best prayer ever, the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6.9-13). Sometimes people tell me that they feel selfish praying for themselves. I remind them that right in the middle of the greatest prayer that has been given to people Jesus encourages us to pray for our daily bread needs.
Your Turn
What do you need today? Don’t be afraid to pray for it, using the suggested prayer. Pray some about the prayer promise, too. God loves you more than you can imagine and he wants to supply your needs.
Like a little child, crawl up onto the lap of your Heavenly Father and ask him for what you need today.
Please help others and share your experience in the comments section below. Thanks.
I pray that I will hear your voice Dear Father and be empowered to follow your words.

A few years back, I wanted to deepen my prayer life. I read several books and studied Scriptures about it. The biggest take away from that time was this very prayer….praying that God’s will be done in His WAY, in His WILL, and in His TIME. These 3 little words have been freeing – a reminder to myself at the end of each prayer to leave all the details in God’s hands. Anything less than His way, His will and His time is not His plan.

Absolutely true. Glenn Clark, the man who suggested these prayers, was a great man of prayer in the last century. He prayed and then left the prayer with God to answer as his infinite wisdom saw fit.
