Mark 11.24 – “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
I pray for your Spirit to enter me and fill me completely.
My plan in writing these articles was to write about this prayer experience for thirty days. So far, I have primarily focused on the suggested prayers for each day. As we enter the last days of this experiment, I am going to focus on the promises Jesus has given us.
Jesus promised us, “Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11.24).
Concerning receiving the Holy Spirit, Jesus also gave us this promise: “If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11.13).
My father often said, “A man’s word is his bond.” Jesus gives us his word that he will answer our prayers. In addition, he promises to give his Spirit to people who ask for the Spirit. Today, I ask for the activity of God’s Holy Spirit in my life and I will look for his work with me.
Everything Jesus was to his followers on earth, the Holy Spirit is to people. Jesus’ followers ate their meals with him. We can eat our meals in the presence of God through the Spirit. Jesus’ followers saw him heal and we can see healing through the power of the Spirit within us. Jesus’ followers had their characters changed because they lived in the presence of the Lord. We will have our characters changed, as we live in the daily presence of the Lord, the Spirit.
Please join me in thanking God for the tremendous gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Please invite him to be active in your life today.
Also, please encourage the readers of real-voices.com with your comments. Thanks.
