Promise and Prayer – Day 11 (Thursday, Week 2)

Jesus’ Promise

Mark 11.24 – “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Suggested Prayer

I pray for your Spirit to enter me and fill me completely.

Personal Reflection

As I survey the suggested prayers of the last ten days, I realize that Jesus wants me to have everything I have prayed about. In addition, he has given me a daily promise to answer my prayer.

I have to ask myself if I really want what I have been praying for. To be honest, I don’t want the character change I have been praying for nearly as much as Jesus wants to give it to me.

Today, I claim the truth from the prophet Ezekiel concerning the inside condition of my life. I ask God to give me a new heart through the power of his Spirit.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 – I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

Your Turn

What are your reflections over the past ten days of this prayer experiment? Do you sense more of God’s activity in your life? If so, great! If you are like me and need more work, please consider joining me in praying for God’s Spirit to change you like God promised in the prophet Ezekiel.

Please encourage the readers of real-voices.com with your comments. Thanks.
